My 03 M800sie, before I bought it, had its 6K service done at 6200 mi.  It now has 6798 miles and the "MAInt" indicator just came on (for 5 seconds) today.  I checked the owner's manual and its states that maintenance indicator comes on every 10,000Km/6210 miles.  Can anyone tell me why its coming on now so soon after the 6K service was done?

Because it hadn't come on before the service was done, it couldn't be shut off.

Hold down the left button on the gauges, turn the key on, turn key off.
Done.  Smiley

Yep, that'll get rid of it.

Mine came on about 1,000km after the service. Tried this and it got rid of it.
