Hey guys,

Just wanted to get your thoughts on fast by ferracci service department. I live outside of philly and this is the closest place. I'm thinking of taking my bike to cross country because they have a master tech mechanic, but its an hour and a half away.

Anybody have experience with either of these places? I keep getting mixed reviews about FBF.

Try posting this in your local club section - they'll steer you in the right direction.

Sidenote: I was considering having my cases machined here and the folks on the phone seemed knowledgeable enough. Never did the work and bought a house instead... still kicking myself on that decision

Our local club section is completely dead.

PM me, I'm about 25 minutes from FBF, been there many times.
Is this thing on?

They are normally pretty booked for service, so make sure you schedule service at least a week in a advance and allow more time for a weekend visit as I have run into situations where their weekends are booked for months out.

Since I have been in, they have been very pleasant with me. Their prices are high, but all Moto service is expensive... So, if you are broke like me, make sure you tell them exactly what you can afford to have done to the motorcycle. They will do everything you ask them to do. The negative comments would come from people that don't expect the final cost, which can be brutal.

The only issue I have with the dealership is that they have NEVER asked me about issues with plastic tanks and a lean exhaust stock setup, and these are nationally recognized problems specific to my model; a 2007 S2R 1000. I am sure they have heard of these problems before.

Haha. I thought the same thing when I read my post.

Not true though, there's good and bad. To be honest only 1 of the 3 dealers I work with are genuinely friendly people, and it's not a ducati dealer.

But being nice and being good at your job do not go hand in hand.

Thanks guy.

Hank - I'm having the same problems. The tank is messed up and the bike keeps backfiring. Not that often but it has backfired 3 times this past week.

My issue is not with cost (I ride Ducati, when was cost ever a consideration), but with attitude.

Best get a tank replacement soon, they (ducati) may be ending that program.

They've done decent work on our M696 (we bought from them a few months ago) and on my Guzzi Breva (I brought to them once under warranty).

I don't have anything bad to say, except that they are busy and inconvenient for me.
