who would have guessed Fabio is a bike hoarder?  that's a crazy amount of bikes.  surely he doesn't ride all of those.  it would take hours just to get some of them out of the storage room.

Sorry, I didn't realize I was being graded.

Should I take out the apostrophe? Or perhaps I could change it to Ducato.

I'd hate for anyone to be kicked in the nads. Or testicles, as that would be the correct usage in that sentence.   ;)

Years ago on MTV Sports, I believe..they showed Fabio and his bikes.  He had a ton of 'em.  I don't recall if he had any Ducs?  There was at least 20 dirtbikes in his kitchen though!   [laugh]

I like that fairing on Bloom's bike.   [thumbsup]

I know Cruise is bad..at least he rides and works on his Ducs.  Ryan Reynolds though..he gives Ducs a bad name.  DOUCHE!!  [thumbsdown]

eric dane looks like me at a stop light....cursing the bike to not stall, please do not stall...their are cars behind me, please dear italian gods of two wheels and expensive taste.   still for some reason, i can't get this 100% of the time.  gotta be above 2000RPMs to not stall...why this is, just makes things difficult.  to me, the bike should start going enough to not stall without any throttle at all...especially at $10,000!

wonder what would happen if i used the "choke" lever to up the RPMs at a stop light(would be a pain) but maybe i wouldn't have to worry about using throttle?  just a newbie thought....hahaha

go ahead, let me have it!!!

14T front sprocket.

Honestly...would this help me.  This "problem" i am having is really affecting my enjoyment in riding this bike.  i love this bike, i want to ride it, but the enjoyment factor is not there because i'm so worried about stalling.  i can get it all day in a parking lot and then every now and then still, i will stale...at the most embarrassing times.

Would this change to a 14T front sprocket really help....can you give what it actually does in order to help me out.  not really a gear head so i would love to understand why it matters to change to 14T....thanks by the way

It would help - but more gas is the solution. Just gas it man...

As Sad Panda said, more right hand and better clutch/throttle coordination is the main thing. However, if you are on a 696 and fairly new to riding, the $40 sprocket plus 1/2 labor is a big help. Have the dealer verify at the same time that your idle is set high enough as that can also be a factor.

The bikes are massively over-geared, presumably for noise (drive by) and emissions..., and/or for the Autostrada! There is a reason Ducati offer a 14T as an accessory.  [roll]

Before ordering my 796, I rode a 696 demo with a 15T. It was silly how tall the gearing was with a bike with not a lot of bottom end. So, there was a 14T on my bike on delivery as I had done this on two of my Ducatis before. A 14T will also tighten up your other ratios a bit.

However, to get back to your question, launching will definitely be easier. It WILL NOT launch at idle though!  ;) For that you may need a 1200...
