Since I have yet to see any quantitative data on what the 769 actually puts to the road (much less what sort of improvements the termi slipon kit actually provides)  I want to put my bike on the dyno before and after the kit install...

...now the question...does anyone know what a run or a couple runs on the dyno would set me back? No tuning required in this setup obviously, but just a strait run.

(obviously its not really worth my time/money if its going to cost me $500 just to see what kind of power the bike makes)

My shop charged $250 for a tune..... So just to do a few runs without tuning I would suspect $50-100... Call a shop and ask.

One other guy dynod his 796 at 82hp stock on another forum

Sorry, I was wrong about the numbers I posted...

That 82hp was for an 1100 Evo...

Looks like base #'s are approximately

696- 65hp
796-76 hp
1100-82hp

FWIW keep your eye on your local dealers, sometimes they have open houses with discounted dyno runs. Even FBF does this from time-to-time. $20 for 3 runs or something like that.

Well thats depressing.

Why?

It's easy to put too much in numbers.

They don't tell the whole story, but that said, that's plenty of hp from a small (by today's market's standards) motor on a nice light bike with a chassis that is sharp as a knife.

A lot of bikes do less with a lot more.

A few do more, with a lot less.

Yeah I suppose your right, my buddies Night train is an 88ci (1450cc) and there has yet to be a single time when I couldnt gain on/overtake him.  And well, the corners go without saying.  Still...that 848 streetfighter looks tempting...
