...but he did have a very serious accident yesterday on his 1098. He asked that I post a thread letting everyone know that he will be fine.   A car was kind enough to slam him into a construction barrier.  He has some broken bones, plenty of rash, and bruises all over, but was able to go home from the hospital last night.

Rich's phone was also destroyed in an unrelated event, so let him know who it is if you text him.  He does not have internet at the house so it is unlikely that he will be on the board much over the next few weeks.

Damn it, that's awful.  I can't believe the hospital sent him home so early.  Is he managing O.K. at home?  Maybe he needs some chocolate chip cookies?   Evil

Did whoever that ran him into the barrier stop?

It has been a horrible year for accidents  boo

The guy that hit him did stop and has insurance. I asked Rich if he needed a live in nurse for a few weeks, but he declined  Grin

Damn, sorry to hear about this. At least the person stopped and had insurance. The likelihood of that happening in the metroplex is very rare. Kudos to the person that hit him. In this f'ed up town I wouldn't expect anyone to stop much less have insurance to help cover the expenses. Please let the local board know if he needs anything. Get well soon Rich. Thank goodness you were not more seriously hurt. I hate hearing about this stuff... never good bang head At least he is home. Hospitals suck even on their best day.

By the way, what bones were broken? Rash and bruises are expected. Broken bones take it to the next level. Heal up brother! waytogo bacon

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

I do not have high hopes for the bikes survival, but Rich didn't really know yet.  Actually, he didn't even know where the bike was as of last night.
