Chopped my 620's tail and stock cans, getting ready to chop my new-to-me S4R.

+1 on chopping the Termis too. They kinds stick out too far after tail chop goodness. Also, at least on my bike, they way better too!

Bought mine used, already chopped. Saved me the time.

I've got a 2000 m900 and a 2001 m900, the latter chopped and the former stock.

When I look at the two of them together, I honestly prefer the stock look and wish I hadn't chopped the 01.

I think one thing to consider when deciding to chop is the length of exhaust. I think most stock length exhausts look too long on chopped monsters.

This forum helped me get the balls to chop the tail.  I was ok with the beer tray but not the rest of the crap dangling under it.  Just decided to rid all of it in one fellow swoop.  Looks much better now.  ;D

Stock for me.  Too much Fuzz in my area to mod the turn/signals etc...I don't see the tail section or turn signal while riding so f-it!

DucsLikeBread

Chopped all the way for me, makes the monster look more slim and sexy. Also reduces some weight on the bike but its all up to the owner like they say whatever tickles you're pickle.

I chopped my old M1000 and got annoyed at having a dirty/wet back.  But it looked cool  ;)

I'm leaving my EVO stock but I don't think the tail on the EVOs look bad at all.  Nowhere near as bad as the older monsters.
