Questions for a linguist and local mechanic

Tristan, I've been pondering this since I bought my pregnant dogin' fresh kit from LA. How do you pronounce Corse? Is it Cor-ser like Troy's last name, or is it Cor-say? Or am I not even close.
Mac, how the heck did "Old Kalanianaole Hwy" come to be known as Norfolk road? Do other folks call it that or only bikers?
back to lunch.

Corse is pronounced "cor sah".
Norfolk is the name of the housing community off the road, as in Norfolk Community Association. Norfolk from the Norfolk pine trees that grow all around there.

Ah the trees, okay, that makes sense. I googled Norfolk and Old Kalanianaole Hwy after I posted and put two and two together. BTW, median single home price $2.5 million. No wonder the cops surrounded us like a SWAT team. I bet they take complaints from that neighborhood pretty seriously.
Thanks for the italian lesson.

You're making us out to be like a gang of criminals. Two cops in their SUVs don't make a SWAT team.

Sorry I'm so late to the party. Mac pretty much set you straight already, but i'll add a bit. My understanding is that, literally, it is pronounced KORS - ay, meaning racing. However, it is usually pronounced KORS-uh. This confused me in the past, as corsa (traditionally KORS - uh, which i think is to fly) also sorta makes sense. Damn languages and their languagy stuffs.

That makes one a criminal? Those R6's are looking good again to me. Then again, it all is fittingly appropriate.

But you're forgetting about the helicopter!

I just read the latest SportRider . . . . looks like the CBR is the 600 to beat in '08 (again!).
