I'm thinking about heading up the 2 to Newcomb's on Sunday.

Plans are tentative as of now.

Is the 2 still overpopulated with squids and Police Police Police?

I'm prolly gonna head up the 33.   Evil

I'll leave from Santa Barbara, 192 --> 150 --> 33

SO many different ways to get to Ojai  on good twisties...  I have maps!   Wink

It's a small window going up the 2 on the weekends, to early and there's TOO much bike traffic. The Police seem to spend most of their time on the lower half before the pseudo traffic light. Go to late and there are no Police or squids but far too much car traffic. I prefer the the mid week jaunts, far less of both.  waytogo

I would love to come ride with you, and I assume Carl, this weekend but it's almost 2 hours away on the slab!! I checked a map and there's no real place to meet that intersects your route.  Sad

Check it out.   Go the loong way around....  Make your way through whichever twisties you choose to Valencia.

Take San Francisquito rd to Lake Hughes rd.  Turn left.  You'll end up on the 138 (straight and sucks) for a few miles.  Hop on the 5 for one or two exits, get off in Frazier Park.  Head west.

Aww make the beast with two backs it... let me google a map for ya...

I'm thinking an early jaunt up the 2 on Sunday is a good idea for me.  I'll be taking it easy anyway so I'm not worried about the  Police.

Squids coming at me on the wrong side of the yellow line is a concern though.

I assume this would be the route you're referring to...

What time were you planning on heading out? And is there a place to meet at Lockwood and the 33?

Yeah, kinda like that Sean, only if ya start off the 210, you can hit Little Tununga Canyon, then either Vasquez Canyon, Spunky Canyon, or even Bouquet Canyon over to Copper Hill, then hit San Francisquito Canyon.  That way you avoid the frakin' 5.

That being said, I'm probably out for Sunday.  Tongue

BUT...  If anyone wants to meet me in Moorpark around 3-3:15pm Saturday afternoon, I'm going to head out Walnut Canyon down Broadway through the orchards, groves, and alpaca ranches to Balcom Canyon.  Then S. Mountain Road into Santa Paula.  Then the 150 into Ojai. I'll stay on the 150 all the way to the coast.  Or, just before meeting up with the 101 again, I'll turn right onto the 192 Evil through the hills of Montecito and drop down into Santa Barbara.   Very fun route.  Smiley

Not sure I can get  out on Saturday (got a pile of stuff to do since I've been away all week), but feel free to stop by and visit for a few minutes.
