Well, I just promised my friends I would go with them, so it looks like I'll be there too. I don't read BARF very often anymore, but I've been on it almost since the beginning (member number 211).

Hahah, so much hate on here for BARF. I admit I much prefer the company and opinions of this board to BARF, but sometimes there's good information there, too. You just have to filter through a lot more crap.

I tried to hang out at barf but asking a simple question about short rider friendly bikes, gear etc... I got total crap response back like don't ride if your short and your gay and every other moronic response 6 year olds come up with.... So I found the DML and now the DMF

I've met a good number of cool guys on barf, probably riding with em down the SC mountains before heading to it. They are some of the few non-douche nozzles on the forum

Cool, well, my g/f and I will be there. We're driving in my car instead of riding since we want to drink and share a pretty strict no riding while drinking policy. Even if I stay below the legal limit I don't get on my bike. Maybe I'll see a few of you there.

I had a good time. I saw a lot of people I know and met a lot of people I didn't know who were all very friendly. It didn't feel like the high school BARF you see online. I made a bunch of BARF pins with sayings from memorable threads and people kept coming up to me to say how cool they were. I think you just have to take the online BARF posts with a handful of salt and know that most (not all) are normal people, just trying to fit in with the brash, sometimes adolescent, sometimes helpful BARF culture.
