Rectifier

I've heard that the rectifiers are a known problem on certain models. Being as I have an '07 S2R 1k, does the apply to mine? I've had it replaced, and of course MC said, oh no, we've never come across this. Sooo, are they lying, or did I get one of the 'good' ones?

OMG, and this is why one uses the search button. I have all the answers I need from the previous thread I created about this a while ago. Yeah, after buying one, I don't want to buy another f'n rectifier, and this past week of heat I've noticed I got the 'optional' heated seat for the Monster.

All Italian electricals are suspect, regardless of make or model. Remember, never get and Italian motorcycle wet on purpose
My friend's tri-colore fried itself while under warranty, not sure what year it is.
You might want to check Desmo Times. L T Snyder carries one that's half the cost of OEM. It looks like California Cycleworks has some too.

Drats, good to know now. Well now I know for 'future' oppsies. Everybody who knows me, knows that the Duc in Ducati has nothing in comparison to said animal. My bike does NOT like the wet, gravel or any other thing that may cause her harm or dirtiness. Lol

Also get a rectifier relocator kit.

Oh and something else I wanted to ask. On their webpage it says I also need to get the kit for the crankcase vent filter. Is this really necessary? Any feedback would be awesome, thank you!

I got both. The crank case wents into the part that holds the rectifier.

There is a bit of yay, nay on removing the stock crankcase breather system (threads on this forum). But if I get the re-locator kit I pretty much have to, don't I? Have you had any problems?
