I'm a moderator on a fish hobbyist forum and MANY people have had horrible experiences with DHL and their craptacular way of delivery.  I can honestly say that from what I've read, about 7/10 people were greatly disappointed with their service.

Well, DHL air freight just gave up all their business to UPS, starting end of this month.

OwnyTony

from what i hear/heard, FedEx was going to buy them out but did not because they were going to die anyways.

DY

Yep, they're struggling alright.  But from what i hear, its a 10 year contract with UPS.. and DHL is still running their own ground fleet.

They deserve to go out of business.

Are you guys talking about domestic DHL?

I get stuff from UK and Germany often and Deutsche Heitwasslabungden Luffposte is the only thing going (cheapest).

DHL out of UK for packages usually runs around 50% of Royal Post or ParcelForce.

that's great, if your packages ever make it to their destination  [laugh]

My experience was with DHL from Italy.

Price is immaterial if the delivery company doesn't deliver.

that blows my mind, i have had ZERO problems with them.

and this was in NYC, where UPS has the highest "loss" rate for packages.. I probably had 2 dozen DHL packages from UK and Germany over a year and all of them just fine!
