my 98 monster 900 has burn up the wiring at the connection from the stator. i had replaced the wire once back in February because it had burnt up and it has now done it again. the voltage regulator is not bad i am getting good readings with my dmm while reving the engine with readings around 13.5 when revved. has anyone else had this problem or can help.

lots of people have had issues with that connector.

Many just solder the connections.

thanks i did some searching and decided to solder the connections. Except i marked the wires when i cut the connectors and in the process of soldering my marks have disappeared. so now i need someone who can tell me how i find out which three stator wires connect with the regulator wires for all three are yellow.

Speeddog

You can connect the 3 yellow wires together in any combination, it doesn't matter.
