Red Dog with Yellow Dog

I hate starting a new thread, but I figured this would get the most attention quickly.

Barb got to ABQ last night. The place is totally overgrown. Do any of you know someone who would be willing to do a bunch of cutting & whacking? For money, of course. Barb is leaving Sunday, so it would need to be done no later than Saturday.

You can try her at home- 505 344-9768, or call her cell- 516-697-1082.

I'm in Florida working (for a change!) and I won't be coming out West until November.

All suggestions welcome. You can PM me so it shows up on my Blackberry as I will be on a job site with uncertain Internet access.

My lawnmower stayed in Tennessee when I moved to New Mexico, but I still have a weedeater that might run (haven't started it in four years, and counting).  Would that help?  If so, I'll pull the cord a few times and see if it'll start.

Sorry, Nic, I gave my Honda mower to Ro's mom & weedeater to TJ. Not much use for them living in a condo downtown.  Sorry

I have an electric whacker and an old-fashioned push mower there, but I don't think Barb is up to doing it herself. What I wanted to find out is if any of you all could recommend someone who does this kind of work who might want/need to make a day's pay.

In any case, thanks for the response.

Someone here must have a number for Mark...the one who rides real fast even double! His partner-dunno her name, runs a landscape business...she would be a good business contact. On my end, I can offer free labor...Smiley

Sorry for the delayed response- I spent Friday driving from Ft. Myers, FL to Cumming, GA. A big shout-out to Cloner & Zaster who were all prepared to show up at Barb's house On Jupiter St. Friday afternoon when the weather intervened. I originally was looking for a reference for someone who does this type of work, but Scott & Karl were all set to show up & do it themselves. A few rounds on me, as well as dinner as a mutually-acceptable venue, when we re-convene in November.

All's well that ends well: Barbara was able to secure the services of a local handyman who came on Saturday to hack at the overgrowth & will keep a eye on the place when we're away.
