I'll have to put the tailight and headlight back on the dorsoduro for this.  Gonna be changing the fork seals and fluids since it has been sitting since the NESBA event at Summit Point Sept 10th.  Seals and fluid should only take an 1hr or so..will spend more time screwing with the lights and plate mount to get re-installed and legal.

I've been following along loosely, but isn't mods vs rockers a part of the route?  I think it was suggested at some point.

I think the plan is to ride up there and then split up between those who want to continue riding and those who want to chill.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

^ This!

I'll be posting an update later this morning or early afternoon. Ted, keep an eye out for a PM...

Artful

My understanding of the plan is that we ride up, hang for a while appreciating young ladies in pin-up-esque attire then ride off into the sunset to potentially extend the route north for those that are interested.

I may have convinced the missus into coming out for the event, so if we ride afterward I just have to drop her off before we hit the northern route. I live about three miles from where the roads get good so it wouldn't be a big detour.

Actually, brain lightning - Would you guys be interested in a cookout at my place after MvR and then a northern route ride?

Okay sweet.  I may be down for some bbqing afterwards too.

Bump for an important update - see the OP for details.

Artful

I am in fact volunteering to lead the later ride. I was thinking BBQing at my place around 3 or 4 (depending on what all is going on at MvR) if people are interested, otherwise we can just grub at the event.

If Ms. Artful decides to come along I will just have to go by the house to boot her off the bike so I can go ride the northern roads. The pace on the northern route can be tailored to the attendees, it doesn't have to be full on ham sammich.

DRKWNG

And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

It's going to be chilly so layer-up. It might be a little damp, too.

Artful

Yeah, it's looking potentially wet. In the word of George Thorogood - that don't confront me none.

I haven't heard a lot of hoorah-ing about a cookout at my place, so I'll probably bag that unless someone is deadset on it. Ride afterward will be a slightly quicker pace than the morning but only as fast as y'all want to go. Haven't lost a man yet.

And Ben, with this crowd would you really want to go full sammich? Last time we tried that Wunmi took the scenic route through someone's yard all Great Escape style.

Our lovely friends at Speedymoto have ruled me out since my new triple has yet to arrive and the bike is currently on the lift......So there will be no riding through someone's yard Great Escape style.  However, ask Massimo what watching a yellow bike and rider duck tree branches.

Heh, that's the reason I bought a helmet cam, need to preserve these priceless moments!

BTW, I'm out tomorrow as well. The welder is done with the exhaust and I want to finish it this weekend so I can head over to the MVA asap.

It's doubtful I'll make the ride (but possible) but I'll def. sees youz at MvR, hopefully on the Guzzi.

There's a ride afterward as well if you're game.
