though his carreer has been less than stellar since his WSBK championship on the Ten Kate Honda, he is a great rider with a decent personality and it is a sad loss to the racing grid, but for understandable reasons. Good health and luck to JT in the future!

I thought he retired at the end of the '07 season.

Too bad, JT.  I hoped to see ya return to form.  He'll be good in the commentator's box though.   waytogo

Hated to hear this but I am not surprised. I like JT. Who cares if he didn't make it in MotoGP. Wanna hold that against Bayliss? I didn't think so. Grin Hope JT finds something to do with motorsports, hopefully as a commentator. waytogo

Bayliss absolutely "made it" in GP, in my book.

That's funny!!! laughingdp Good one!!! waytogo

I meant The Troy didn't win a GP Championship like so many expected. Big deal. He didn't become a fireman, an astronaut or win an Olympic gold medal. So what? What he did was make the beast with two backsing rock the WSBK scene for 3 championships on three different generations of Ducs. Take that to the bank!! MotoGP... Roll Eyes
