First ever major problem on my 2006 S2R-1000. Last weekend while out riding it started cutting out. At first it was just momentary blips, then it got worse until it gave out entirely. What was weird was that it would always start right back up again, then would go a random distance from a few yards to a couple miles and do it again. After making it back to the next major town I called the wife to pick me up and put it in the back of the pickup and dropped it off at the dealer. Turns out that it was the kickstand switch going out, so if anyone ever experiances  something similar, you might look there first.
