Every method the Myth Busters used to cover the plate did not work.
No idea if that means anything though because if one worked I'm not sure they would highlight it on their show
So this like many of my posts is probably useless
Good luck.

Did MythBusters test one of these? Cause it sure looks like it would work and the concept seems fairly solid. What happens though when you get a smart cop looking at your plate from an angle? I imagine a ticket for non-visible tags. [leo]

For $18.99, my guess it is a waste of money otherwise everyone will be using them...not to mention that covering the license plate is illegal

or i could lay down on the bike and just superman through haha

So...it gives them a partial plate, which on something as uncommon as a motorcycle would almost always be enough to figure out the full plate from their records.

Not to mention that in some states any sort of cover (and especially covers which partially conceal the plate) are illegal.

Superman comment gave me an idea. Why not start rocking a long cape while you ride! Start a new trend. Just be careful not to get it caught in the chain or rear wheel.  :-X

Just stick this on your helmet and you'll be good to go!   [cheeky]
He man, where are all the ads?

They did try that on Mythbusters. The angle of the camera and the plate has to be very big for it to work. So for traffic camera's it only blurred it a smidge so they were still able to read the tag.
I live vicariously thru myself......

just put an electric tag flipper on the bike and don't worry about it...

something like this

or you can go with the less obvious option like this...

very nice! love the plate flipper idea

5$ worth of hinges, springs and cables is far more affective (and far more 007).

just sayin.
