Prayers going out to Wayne...get well soon man.  I have seen three people go down this year but all were able to hop right up....gear played a big part in that and none were nearly as bad as that.  With just 8K under my belt I make sure to ride within my comfort zone and not push it.  Here's to a speedy recovery  chug

Am just getting my bike back together after it and I went under the back of a Toyota landcruiser 2 years ago... me first then the bike followed and the bike was stuck on the back of the cruiser while it was still trying to slow down to stop.... somehow and I will never understand how I managed to roll under the bike while we were all still moving down the road and jumped up to watch my bike still hitched to the cruiser moving down the road... tore a hole in my forearm big enough to put an I phone in, broke a rib and a lot of other bumps and grazes... but I was lucky enough to literally limp away... seeing those pictures make a chill go up my spine... thanks for posting, you are obviously a good friend.

Wayne all the best buddy, Hoping for a full recovery.

We all need to learn and remember that we ride for fun and should ride within our limits... there are enough other unforeseen things that happen on the road to manage without taking more risks, and for sure what about those who love us? my 8 year old boy went as white as a ghost and was the quitest I have ever seen him when he heard what had happened.... scared the hell out of the little lad that his dad and best mate nearly died...

again all the best to Wayne and wishing for safety on the road for our brothers and sisters on bikes

Well said. waytogo

I remember my then 10 year old step son telling me while I was in the hospital with a broken neck that after thinking about it and seeing what happened to me that he no longer wanted a dirt bike. laughingdp I told him that would make his mother extremely happy! Grin

On a more serious note, again, I wish BP's friend Wayne all the best. Bikes can be fixed or replaced, people not so much. Be careful out there folks. waytogo Dolph

Good thoughts and all the best to Wayne.

(As someone else said, we can hassle him about gear post-recovery. Smiley)

Wayne is a lil rough around the edges.  Some...ok.... most would call him an asshole. But he's the asshole friend you can call at anytime and he's there to help. He'll give you shit the entire time he's helping.... but he's helping. His friend Jason has been at his side as much as possible and I told him to take this time he have to repeatedly whisper in Waynes ear.... " I will respect my fellow man... I am humble.... I will wear the proper gear while riding "   :-)

I don't know Wayne but he is a brother.  Get well soon.

On a side note, in the pic it looks like that tree has gotten in the way before?

What Fastwin neglects to tell everyone was that the turkey was trying to mate.  Ever since he's sworn off wearing Gucci colgne while riding.

Wayne, Godspeed to you.  Get well soon.
