I am starting to have some muscle and tendon issues with my right arm and it is affecting my riding.

Is there anyway to move the throttle over to the left side?Huh??

This would be sooo helpful.

Thanks,

Cyrus

moving the throttle will be pretty straight forward, cables (length) will be the toughest part. your clutch being on the same bar will be tough at first, think of rolling on the throttle while also easing out the clutch on the same hand. My 65 lambretta  has the shifter on the left grip (like the throttle you twist it) and a normal clutch. It can take a bit to get used to the left hand doing more complex motions than it has been trained for. Wink

To keep riding you do what  you need to do. I had a guy bring a gold wing with sidecar into the shop once, he had just bought the bike and wanted us to, well.... make it closer to stock.
The previous owner had been missing a limb or two and another shop had modified it a bit.
The clutch was on the right
The brakes were all linked to the left lever (even the side car wheel)
The shifter was the goldwing reverse lever used like a suicide shift

New owner though he would be missing a few parts soon if he didn't change some things back.

There are finger controlled throttles (levers) out there as well. The stunters use em. I had an ATV trigger control for my throttle on a previous stunt bike. Might be safer than a complete switchover to the other side.

I've done a couple of atv throttle installs for a friend with wrist problems.  He shattered most of the bones in his wrist, and had to have them fused together.  The thumb throttles have very little resistance, so they take some getting used to, especially on a higher HP bike.
