I bought a really nice set of mirrors off of this forum a while back. I tried to install them on my 2000 Monster and found out one of the mirror screws in to the brake casting with reverse threads. Whooda thunk? So I went to the dealer to have a lefty-tighty piece-part ordered and it came in with normal threads. Do I have to order the little piece that clamps the brake MC from a different year/model than 2000? Anyone have one they want to sell?

Why not just get a normal threaded master clap like on the other side? It's only about $10-12 at the dealer, and I'll bet some one here that has one collecting dust.

I meant to say the post on the mirror has the reversed threads. The clamp on the MC (and the one that the dealer ordered) are all normal threads. I'm trying to locate a clamp with reverse threads ....anyone know what year(s) monsters camed with reverse threads on the right side?

I know 2003-2005 uses the lefty tighty.

'02 and later have left-hand thread on the brake master clamp.

Do you have a coffin-style or a goldline master?

someone may have one laying around.  ;)
