I came off of my 1976 Honda CB250G5, and I can't figger out what the hell it is. Any of you vintage bike guys wanna lend a new pup a hand?

Hmm... I seem to think that maybe my buddies old CB550 had a buzzer, or speaker of some sort that made a noise when the turn signals were engaged.
I offer absolutely no guarantee that I know what the hell I'm talking about. My brain could have just invented that memory...

it looks like the speaker off of an old rotary telephone when you unscrew the bottom of the handset... my vote 1st car/motorcycle phone (not really just being silly)

I think ZARN02 is right, and if my aging feeble memory serves me right, its the thing that goes BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP when the turn signals flash, it was a forerunner to self cancelling turn signals.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I'm not sure it'd be possible to hit 88mph on this little thing, but I'll let you know what happens when I do.
And congrats on breaking the thou, Elyse!

Your actions are being secretly tracked by a black bag government agency. Throw that thing away immediately and watch your six!

Maybe its a back up beeper. I just usually yell "BEEP, BEEP, BEEP" when backing up.
