havnt you heard paul ducati is broke after buying rossi to ride there bike and trying to fix the gp bikes , on a serious note it seems warranty issues depends on the dealer , ducati wouldnt warrant my rear hub but my dealer went over the australia importers head and sent an email to ducati them selves and that put a cat amongst pigeons because ducati australia reckons there wasnt a fault with the bikes but ducati Italy said there was a problem with cush drives so to cut a long story short my daerler pushed and italy sent new parts straight to dealer so best of luck bazz

Its called the N.F.I. Factor!! The Importer has No Farkin' Idea! And doesnt want to know! 

I contacted them a while ago re some erratic speedo issues and got a basic "Bugger Off" attitude from them with absolutely no assistance, hint, clues, maybe "What to look fors", Nada, Zip, nothing!

I think some where else in this Forum someone conyacted NFI regarding a Ducati ECU change to an upgrade Ducati ECU and Ducati Perfromance Zorst and bits and were told by the Dickheads at the Importer that it would void their Warranty!!??

When Italy was contacted they told said Forum member that there was no problem with warranty!! ......................Go Figure!!

Sorry cant remeber who (I'm sure it was an OzMonster) but at least a year ago (Alzeihmers is bad!!  )

Moral.....dont expect squat ffrom NFI.

it's the bike mate, i have one within it's warranty period but am getting no love from the importer, obviously i'm not alone, just curious to see what my fellow loggers think of NFI, cause when i look back on the eleven ducati's i've bought, most new or near new i can honestly say i've never, ever had an issue with warranty, till now, and it's a $4k bill!

Doesn't sound like a nice position you're in Paul. I have not heard good things from NF Imports but have never dealt with them personally. I have dealt with our northside Ducati Dealer and have nothing nice to say about them. Bob from Ducati Brisbane did look after me with a warranty issue.

The boys at speedys (not a Ducati dealer) look after my bikes now, but I'm out of warranty anyway now.

Did you have time to explain the problem on the forum, or is that in another thread?

yeah tim and scott at speedys are good, funny how the independent shops walk all over the dealers in terms of service, i could never quite figure it out but with NFI leading the way with ordinary service the dealers just follow along i guess.....
I didn't buy my bike from a local dealer, but it was from one of the official dealer network, and the importer knows that, this issue has nothing to do with the brisbane dealers, in fact scott at the north side ducati dealer submitted my claim and was as helpful as he could have been.

I too have had issues with warranty not with my dealer but NFI stuffing around.
Cut a very long story short my bike was off the road for 3 months thanks to NFI.
Still awaiting an apology for the poor handling of my claim as the bike was back 3 times with the same issue of oil leaking from the head.
I find them arrogant and they fail in the most basic functions of customer service and to sum up the experience would be to say that THEY ARE A JOKE.

My best advice would be to contact Italy contact_us@ducati.com as i have done a few weeks ago and they are looking into my case so hopefully i may recieve some form of compensation for the time i was without my bike.

well it looks like a decent outcome for my particular problem, A big thumbs up and thank you to north coast V-twins, ashley, who sold me the bike has come through with warranty for me so i'm happy. I can't speak highly enough of this dealership, guess it's why i drive 5 hours to spend my cash there.

I wish we had more choices for Ducati dealers here in Vic! They are a bit thin on the ground down here!

oh i know what you mean, it's a poor reflection on the state of the dealer network when customers all over the country have the same issues. why do you think i drove 5 hours to get my bike and use an independent workshop for everything here in brissie.
