throttle control housing for S4Rs

I need a new throttle control (housing and throttle tube) for my S4Rs.  Ducati lists the part number as #654.2.003.1A.  When I search for this online, I come across a number of different bike models (from supersport to sport classic).  However, when I look at the pictures - they all look different than mine...

To get to the point - does it matter what throttle housing and tube I put on?  Is there much compatibility concerns with other ducati models?

Is it possible that you have a modified/aftermarket housing?

It's possible previous owner swapped the housing. What's the reason you need a new unit? If given the choice I would install the oe part
