Gerbing heated gloves

Well , my heated gloves have never been ultra reliable. im not sure why. there have been times where they just randomly stop working while riding. i would check and double check the connects and there were no issues. when they work they work great. they dont always work as intended. When my bike is idling they arent as hot as when they are on the highway, which kinda sucks because its not as hot as i like it to be.

Anyway, they finaly broke completely... im not sure why. fuses check out and the wires have no breaks. but im reluctant on another pair. im pretty sure my first pair just wasnt that shotty. But i think other brands are going to be worst. Going to call them up and see if i can get a replacement pair on their life time warranty, its used them for two seasons now. was thinking about my next pair to be a liner set instead so i can wear them with my Rev It goretex gloves. ( huge believer in goretex after using rev its stuff!)

Any recommendations other than gerbings stuff? hopefully i can get replacement, ill call them tomorrow.

My liners were delivered with a 9v battery package - clearly not enough

Hooked them up to the bike battery and that works very well  Three years and no issues.

are teh side of the fingers really heated? for the gerbings ONLY the back of the hand and fingers are heated. which leaves teh side of ur fingers cold.

Yes, and palm and back

Sometimes I actually have to spread my fingers to cool down the between-fingers-heat.

just a little update, i sent my gloves in, turns out they were faulty. the wiring was shoddy on them and they sent me a brand new pair of their updated G3 models. the liner is softer and they even have a little pouch built into it where you can zip the wires into if you wanted to wear them as regular gloves.

will test them out tomorrow!

i had picked up some revit goretex glvoes and they were GREAT down to about 25-30 where they became borderline useless.

I have the Tour Master Synergy gloves, jacket- and pants liners.  I've used them to ride into the teens, and they work great.  YMMV

Any updates on the gloves? I'll be shopping for a set within the next few months. I doubt I'll be riding into the teens, but definitely into the 20s.

the new g3 is much beefier in terms of connections wiring and wiring material. used my IR thermometer on it, thing reads 175degrees sitting in 40 degrees. if you are using it in that kinda temp, gerbing recomends using a thermostat instead of their flip switch (which is what i have). this way you wont get burned and wont have to keep turning it on and off.

though i dont use them much unless im going long distance or in super cold weather, so it stays on full blast during that time anyway.

i have burned my hands slightly by not turning them off in the 50s/40s. so a dial switch is highly recommended.

They replaced my gloves after owning them for 2 years since the wire was shotty (from taking them on and off so many times). so the warranty is there as well if you ever needed it.

they run a full size larger so order 1 size down. i normally wear a small, i had to go XS.
