Anyone who has been to Hobart and visited Joes Garage will be saddened by this news. The owner, Mat Hamilton, passed away on Friday.

Mat was a real character and dedicated rev head. He was also a genuinely nice guy and would help anyone if he could. He was heavily involved in a lot of motoring events in Tasmania and will be sadly missed by both the bike and car communities.

RIP Mat.  :'(

Joe's is a cool place.

I don't think I met the owner but if the place is anything to go on he must have been an alright guy.

Another character of the motorcycle world who'll be missed greatly.

That is saddening news. Matt was a lovely guy. He lead us on some spirited rides when we were in town. :)
RIP Matt.
