Hmm.  Tempting.  I wanted to get my headers ceramic coated black.  Not really sure how to remove them though.

I've taken my other parts to them in the past.  They do good work.

Do they do piston coating or chamber coating?

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Figured I'd keep this real time less I forget something.

Final Product - A
Communication - C
Price - B+

Final Product:
Check out the pictures.  Len did a great job of ceramic coating everything.  The inside and outside have a nice finish to them.  Not too glossy since I chose the flat black and it wasn't flaking off or chipping after knocking a couple of pieces together during the car ride home.  I like that he sanded the ends where pieces were going to connect so I didn't have to worry about fitting the pieces together or sanding anything down.

Communication:
Here's where he get dinged.  While he's a great guy to work with, he wasn't there when I went to drop the pieces off and wasn't going to for at least another 40 minutes.  When we spoke the pieces were supposed to be ready by Friday, however, after calling for several days and sending emails he told me they weren't going to be ready in time.  While I understand he owns a small shop and it's during the holidays I would have liked an email or quick call to let me know things were running 2 days behind schedule.

Price:
Not too bad that given what he did. $120.00 for all the pieces, dipped and ceramic coated inside and out.  I was quoted $200+ buy a couple of other shops, so I figure I can give him more business based on the final product and price.

Conclusion:
For the money, final product and communication I would recommend Figure Engineering.  Len's a great guy to work with, looks like he's trying to grow his small business and I can appreciate that.  Just gotta be a little patient with him.

It looks good.  What does the internal thermal barrier look like?  I'm thinking about sending the buell exhaust off to have whatever would reduce external temps the most done to it before next summer.

I spoke to Len before about doing my exhaust once a while back, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.  I read somewhere though about how some people get a thermal barrier on the outside in addition to the inside.  When I spoke to Len he said he had done that to one of his bike's exhausts and it made a big difference with the temps.

The internal thermal barrier is a black coating that looks a lot like the external but the finish feels different.  I had to install the exhaust and then ride around for 45 minutes afterwards just to get everything to set well (per the instructions).
