An analog man in a digital world

The saying goes "if it looks too good to be true - it probably is".

None the less, I sure like the shape of these...........

I can't tell if they are shotgun style or hi-rise. (I only want high pipes)

Anyone know anything about them? Sound, longevity, quality?

No rumors or hearsay please!

I don't have them myself but here's a 11 page thread I read about them a while ago that answered a lot of my questions. Not sure if they're available in high mounts. What bike do you have?

yeah, I just read it, thanks.
I was searching "gp exhaust" and only thought to search by DanMoto about a second after I made that post.  bang head

Still can't figure if they are available as high rise, though.
I'm workin' at it.

The exhaust in your link above is for the S*R models, they are the shotgun style mounting.

AFAIK they only make exhausts for stock mounting positions.

buy them direct from the danmoto site - http://www.dan-moto.com/ - they're cheaper.

i like these ones - http://www.dan-moto.com/ducati-monster-jisu-silver-product-528.html?zenid=9hesudclse15kb3gpace0m1an6 - i think i might get some.

a customer of mine said this about the conical megaphone ones he bought for his early 900.  he welded mounts to them and welded the link pipes on too i think.  and made some baffles.

"The pipes are Danmoto [e bay] cheap [#300.00] Chinese made German design. At that price I thought I would try them out. Sound great, fairly well made, light material, run like shit down low [typical megaphone ] had to go back up 4 sizes on pilots to help dead spot but will need needle work too.Hard to tell if making [more or less] power up high."

Thanks, guys!
I'm just checking these because I don't like the look or sound from the Leo Vince high mount single muffler that came on my bike. It's carbon fiber and I'm not a CF fan.
What I really need is a cat eliminator but I've been holding back on buying one. Don't know why.
.....................................

Screw it - I just ordered a Marving header  from Monsterparts. I ran the bike the other day with the muffler off and was surprised at how much the cat muffles the sound.  Should make a big difference.
I'll worry about the look of the Leo Vince later.

Looking at the DanMoto silencer prices, I could buy a set, use them, throw them away, and buy a new set again 6-7 times before I'd approach the price of a new set of Termis...
