Hey DMF, Just looking to see if anyone actually owns a Comp Werks exhaust for their S2R800 or S4R that actually fits. I ordered one from Bellissimoto about 12 weeks ago, thinking they were in stock. Long story short, it FINALLY shows up today and it fits like this.

Does anyone besides Belli own one of these exhausts? I'm pretty livid at both Belli and Comp. After 12 weeks of waiting for an exhaust they claim to have in stock and only available through them, you'd think the exhaust would at least fit.  [thumbsdown]  [bang]

Is everything all snugged up? Sometimes where one pipe slides into another needs a little help with a rubber mallet.  For example you push the pipes that are supposed to go together together and tap the side with a rubber mallet.  Sometimes the vibration will help them snug up even tighter.  I had to do that when I had my Zards.

Was there a bracket in the box or on the photos of it?
Seems like you need one to make the exhaust clear the turn signals/stuff.

Heath- I tried everything. I believe Comp just sent me the wrong sized mufflers. Evidently they lost the schematics for the original measurements of the system and probably just put something together thinking it was right. This is what Belli told me.

stopintime- If you look on the belli site they do not use a bracket. I think it would look pretty crappy with a bracket.

I'm waiting to hear back from Randy and Lyle. I just need to get this bike up and running. I'm most likely going to get a completely different exhaust.

Grrrly

this time I'll try to post it in the right thread lol

from this photo from Bellissimoto there looks like there should be a bracket.  You might have to make your own.

does it replace the whole exhaust? only behind udder? or udder back?

C kraM

It's a complete replacement. It uses the Arrow mid pipe and then the mufflers are from Comp Werks. I ended up sending the entire system back to Belli. Hopefully they'll give me a complete refund with shipping.

I'm most likely going to pick up a QD exbox system. Anyone have any experiences with that exhaust? The look is killer but i'm worried about the sounds due to bad vidoes put up online.

BellissiMoto

I don't remember ever saying this system was in stock, it's special order only, so that doesn't make sense for us to say...

That said, we do make mistakes, so it is possible.

Anyhow, the long delay was a result of CompWerkes pushing us to the back of their work log after their diavel systems suddenly got very popular.

Then we see a picture like this, find out CompWerkes just changed the way they put these exhausts together and may have lost the measurements from our first build which is on my personal Monster and fits perfect, and has been fine for the past few thousand miles.

So of course the customer is upset, as he should be in this sort of situation, and we immediately agreed to give him a complete refund.

I apologize for the mistake and will certainly get this sorted out with Compwerkes, if you want to go back that route, otherwise we do have another QD order being placed on Monday, and will bring in an extra S2R system just in case you want it.

Wait for a correct Comp Werk system - just a little patience and Belli work [thumbsup]

The ExBox sounds boxed in, if you know what I mean...

Full systems sound much more alive [Dolph]

ExBox leaves the wheel exposed, which is beautiful, but the box itself isn't exactly gorgeous IMO....

The bike pictures with the Amy on it is an S4RS and the OP has a S2R800.  They use difference mid pipes.  It makes sense that the ones measured out for an S4RS would not fit the S2R800 as they do use different midpipes.  Usually only S4R exhaust is compatible with a S2R800.

If you mean the s-pipes, from under the rearsets to the can, I would think you're spot on  [thumbsup]

They look very different.

Be kind to the middleman...In my experience, EVERYTHING I have ever got from comp werks fits for crap....Its priced well, but generally...there's a reason...it takes a bit of "tweeking". Just my experience...

Haven't experienced that myself, as their exhaust and fender eliminator worked fine on my 1098 as well as my S4RS.

This problem however is certainly no little tweak away from being correct.

As for the comments about the bikes being different, well yes the midpipes are different, but they actually end in the same place from one model to the other and have the same pipe diameters.

My guess is they just blew it on this one, but sh!t happens and they're good people, so I know they will fix the issue.
