 bacon

So I picked up a decently equipped, but in slightly rough shape Monster 900 recently and have been contemplating what to do with her.

This is how she arrived -

The photograph is misleading though, as the frame and tank are actually spray paint jobs that leave much to be desired.

Also she is sporting two leaks, one at the clutch slave (no big deal - gonna swap it out anyhow), and another at one of the case seals, so we'll be stripping her down completely to tune, clean, and re-seal the motor up.

After a couple hours, she looked like this -

After another few minutes, she was completely in the buff -

What happens next is up for discussion...

I'm tempted to simply re-do the yellow correctly, but also considering blacking it out and adding some special color features in small quantity...

All I know is the "plan" is to keep this as a budget(-ish) build.

Honestly I don't know.

We tore her down the rest of the way today though, so I'll have to make up my mind soon!

Why don't you try a color that you have never seen on a Monster before. I think this bronze color from this Guzzi might work on the tank. The frame could match or be black.

I'd say bronze on the frame and the tank in matte black with bronze highlights or design.......now we are moving.

I reckon super light weight, minimalist. Galluzzi's original concept, tank, wheels, motor.   Go for moderate engine mods, say 90 hp, and a good power to weight ratio. You can use lots of carbon and other light weight materials to get 140-150 lbs.
