Just been told my monster 1100 evo will be at the dealers next week.
Unfortunately I will be overseas, so delivery will be the week after,

Still excited though

Getting out of a 1800 cruiser, so the difference may take some getting used to.

Woo hoo

Great ! congrats  [thumbsup]
Seen as your going to be away I could pick it up for you and scrub in the tyres  ;D

techno

You will not regret it.

You will need a new helmet one size larger to accommodate the constant grin.  ;D

I have had a few offers to pick up the bike.

Sorry to disapoint, will do it myself..
I am booked in for some wrist surgery in December, so have the recovery plan all sorted.

Thanks all the same

You will be very happy to say the least. I got mine 2 months ago and still grinning.. ;D

A word of warning.....You should start preparing a budget as you will not resist the temptation to make modifications....... so best do it in an orderly fashion

Ha Ha Ha, OR if you have a valued relationship with a significant other, just extend your mortgage & buy it all at once, as the reins will likely be pulled in around the $5,000 mark (and counting.....)

Trying to see how I resist termis, more power etc.
Lasted almost 3 months with last bike.
Before long it was bored and stroked, ecu, straight thru pipes, modded seat, braided lines, air horns, xenon lamps, better intakes, pair valve mod, TRE, variable length inlet trumpets, rack and heated grips

I have ordered this bike with heated grips, 14t sprocket, and Ventura rack, so basics are done.
Will see if I can stop at cleaning up the tail, air horns and of course, the garage door opener!

Time will tell LOL.
Still believe the best performance improvement is a full tank of fuel and a ride.

DosVerde

Heated grips???  where do you live, Tassie?   :P

Congrats on the new bike, you're going to love it  [thumbsup]

Heated grips  [thumbsup]............... ignore the haters essential safety mod ;D

Lot of work for an 1800 cruiser.
If you do that to a cruiser, your Monster is gonna be pretty worked once you get going with the mods.

What colour EVO are you getting?
You greatly underestimate the amount of overconfidence I have.

reebok

Red of course!

My bike is every transport to me, rain hail, snow and shine.

Nice being able to move your fingers when it is cold. Helps with braking too!

I'm not a heated handgrips hater, just grumpy and jealous ;)  I test rode a Beemer with heated grips once, it was a cold wintery wet August day in Melb, and I still had to turn the buggers down. They were more like toasters.

Good job the EVO has a wet clutch, the dry cluches are a pregnant dog in the rain if you have an open cover, at least thats one thing you don't have to spend you bling money on.
