Hey guys,

For some reason the neutral light on my '96 Monster 900 stays lit all the time.
Not just dimly, but brightly lit (no difference when the bike actually is in neutral).
Nothing serious happened to the bike, it tipped over a couple of months earlier bang head, but that only seemed to have the right hand mirror.

Any ideas what might be the cause of this?

See if you have a faulty neutral switch.  It is located on the rear of the engine toward the right side (near the swingarm pivot).  Unplug it and the light will probably go out.

They're easy to replace and pretty inexpensive.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I'll give that a try.
