Is it too big or should I give it a good lube and just shove it in?

Maybe sorry I may of read it wrong

Only slightly. Your photos have the velocity stacks already on the filters (so you can't see them) - I think this is the part Mick was struggling with.

Is that different to what monsterdorf has?
I think he has the velocity stacks and is fitting the filter's to them?

The stacks may be different ... but stacks to filters was the easy part for Jukie.

I just modded the air box to get the TPO ones on mine. Real simple. Same DP filter and lid.
The 4v setup is different to the 2v.

Perhaps you guys could post piccies of your setups as well for people to see the differences.
Believe post content at your own risk.

Yes same filters but had to get the ram tubes (aka velocity stacks) into the filter first. They are huge, akin to a monkey fist. So I patiently worked the rim gave it a good lube and squeezed them in. Once you get the rim stretched enough they pop in like a finger in a bun. Mounted the front coil to the new bracket and viola.

Tomorrow I'll fit the Ducati race ECU, set the TPS and CO. Can't wait to take her up Glorious for a test run  :)

Pity there are no other Monsters in Brisbane!

Of course. Please excuse my ignorance. I thought the filters went straight on to those flexible inlet tubes. That would be too easy, making a model specific all in one pod filter.
You greatly underestimate the amount of overconfidence I have.

OK Ducati race ECU fitted & TPS reset. Idle mixture is 12.4:1 which is right in the sweet spot at 0 trim. Went for a quick 100Km test ride and she is smooth as with no flat spots or "popping" on deceleration. Power seems improved but haven't really had a chance to open her all the way. Next track day should give me a good indication as until now the Duc and my sons SV have been on par (PTW is the issue there...........meaning I'm fatter than he is!) hopefully now I can pass him on the straight and then be "wide" at turn 1 to keep him at bay  :)

I guess he could always wheel out his Daytona to whoop me, but so far, he's too scared to drop that.

Will advise on how it goes after a few more K's particularly fuel consumption (4.7L/100Km now).

Cheers
