Is it too big or should I give it a good lube and just shove it in?

OK now I have your attention I just got my velocity stacks and filters from MotoWheels. I tried to fit the filters to the stacks but they are as tight as. Anyone able to offer any sensible advise? I'd hate to stuff it up (pun intended).

cheers

Jukie

When I did jukies it was a bit tight on so just sprayed some lube and on they went. maybe a gentle stretching of the rim first might help too

Is that different to what monsterdorf has?
I think he has the velocity stacks and is fitting the filter's to them?

I could be wrong.

I just modded the air box to get the TPO ones on mine. Real simple. Same DP filter and lid.
You greatly underestimate the amount of overconfidence I have.

Yes same filters but had to get the ram tubes (aka velocity stacks) into the filter first. They are huge, akin to a monkey fist. So I patiently worked the rim gave it a good lube and squeezed them in. Once you get the rim stretched enough they pop in like a finger in a bun. Mounted the front coil to the new bracket and viola.

Tomorrow I'll fit the Ducati race ECU, set the TPS and CO. Can't wait to take her up Glorious for a test run  :)

Pity there are no other Monsters in Brisbane!

Hi, I've also got some stacks and filters to go on and was just wondering where you got your ECU from.

Yeh, but are you available to go for a ride?

In the last 5 years I've tried to get to rides organized but only had two successes pretty much given up and just head out on my own or with my son & neighbours.
