Those are pretty cool. I play around with 1/10 gas trucks, and just saw the new Car Action with a production Traxxas that claims to go 100mph out of the box.

I'm sure it's just a matter of time. What is really amazing is when you add the scale factor in to it. 1/10 scale at 100 MPH then you hit a tree and the thing keeps on going.

$1000 for a RC car that goes 100mph isn't too bad. I'm sure they'll sell quite a few. I'm going to start watching on youtube. I want to see what happens when you impact a curb at 100mph with your RC car ![Grin](http://ducatimonsterforum.org/Smileys/classic/grin.gif)

I had an 1/8 scale Mugen buggy that went about 65mph. Hit a tree at full speed with left front wheel. cartwheeled several times and kept on running. They use Titanium every where. The tie rod was slightly bent and the replacement for a set cost $20. Most top name brand RC's are made with extremely durable materials. My Losi trucks use a fiberglass impregnated plastic. Lightweight and almost unbreakable. The $1000 remark- I dont know if you are being sarcastic. Toys do cost a fair amount. I have at leats $700 invested in radio equipment and most good 1/10 models go for $400 with-out motor or engine. Some top end 1/10 scale engines go for $500 with professional porting. $1500 for a 1 car setup is not unreasonable. I only wish that modern auto makers could use some of the technology of RC's in real cars. Human life is worth a little more than a toy though.

No sarcasm. I'd read somewhere that it's price is 1000. But, you have to have a iphone or ipod touch, for some goofy reason, attatched to the transmitter...it's a RTR, batteries included. I hear you on the money, though. I'm ashamed to admit how much I've spent on RC airplanes...boredom can be very expensive ![laughingdp](http://ducatimonsterforum.org/Smileys/classic/laughdmf.gif)

I've got an Losi truggy that with the kit, engine, and electronics I am sad to say I've invested well over $1K in it. it hauls though. I run it on tracks and the local dog parks where everything chases it with no success. Owners than me cause their dogs go home tired as shit. as for their speed. I've given cars a good run for their money. They're amazed at how fast they go....
