Take a look at this frame. It has been plasma-arc sprayed with a thin coat of real bronze. Has anyone ever heard of this? Any information about this process would be appreciated.

A copper plated, patina'd frame with rattle can flat black everything else would be rat-o-licious!

Green oxidation is what I was wondering about. Maybe they have thought of that and it is clear coated over the bronze layer.
Edit: I did just read that people who have done copper tanks had to have them clear coated within a few hours to they wouldn't tarnish. Perhaps the builder did something similar for the bronzed frame.

What I like about this bronzed frame is the subtle/subdued look. You don't notice the coating until you look at the bike for a minute. Copper on the hand is very bold. It is similar to using chrome because it is so shiny and bold. Jesse James and others have done copper tanks on their bikes.

That's awesome! I think the sensuous lines of a monster tank would look better though......
