this week i paid its rego

took it out on sunday

i reckon its been prob 6 months and thanks to my charger on about the 3rd revolution it fired into life

Down to the servo and filled the rear tyre which has a slow leak

off for a ride to windsor to the old bike show , a blat up to colo heights and a stop back into
rouse hill shops for the hodrod show

funny enough a while off the bike and 110 feels fast

sadly the rear brake isnt working as if its sucked up air despite the reservoir being full but
prob a good thing since a look at the pads and there is bugger all left

a nice overcast day made it s pleasant ride

i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

New set of timing belts and a new chain and sprockets. Went up 3 teeth in the back. I may actually get to use the mythical 6th gear my Monster is supposed to possess.  Dolph

Also refreshed the oil and filter and bleed the clutch. T'was starting to look pretty dark.

Hehe. That's funny. Brian's having a midlife crisis.

I spent like three hours trying to work out why my bike wouldn't idle. Bloody thing kept cutting out. I was convinced there was a problem with the battery, because it kept stopping then sweeping the gauges. Just as I went to connect an oscilloscope to the battery, I noticed one of the HV leads had fallen off the coil. So I reconnected it and went for a ride.

no midlife crisis Suzy, just doing a favour for a mate, its his 993. Porsche are celebrating fifty years of the 911 this weekend and his car has been selected in a drive over via the Harbour Bridge. He is away this weekend so me being the kind soul that i am, accepted his kind offer of letting me take it. Saturday it needs to be taken to Porsche Australia for stickers etc, then early Sunday morning it is one of a hundred going on the drive over, then ends at Taronga Park Zoo for breakfast. I'm looking forward to it, still have an empty passenger seat to fill too     waytogo

Cleaned and re-oiled the K&N air filter. Also installed a barracuda led brake light.

Plug and play. I actually installed it upside down by mistake and then found it looked better that weay. Only niggle is it is narrower than OEM so there is a lil space you can see the wires under the seat. Nothing a lil black electrical tape couldnt fix. I got my light from Jeff @ Monsterparts.
