Well, the headlight in my M620 took a beating on a spill I had...and I have to replace it.

Just some weeks ago I was looking at these

http://motowheels.com/i-7601000-corse-dynamics-headlight-kit.html

And I really liked it. Now, today I was going to check them for ordering, and they're out of stock  :'(

What other similar options are there? Any place where I could buy the OEM headlight for a good price? (I checked Ebay and some places where like 400$  Shocked ). I would like to keep it as close as possible to OEM, since I am planning on selling the bike soon, so I want to keep the stock look to it, with the round headlight.

Thanks in advance!  waytogo

I spotted this on ebay which looks pretty slick with the "clear" glass lens on it.  I just dont know if its the exact same bucket as the stock one because there is only a front picture of it.  Looks like he's sold almost 40 of them.

worth a shot for the price.

I saw that exact part on Ebay...but since it ships from Germany, it makes everything much more expensive and complicated for shipping. Without getting into much details, I am currently located in Venezuela, and international shipping is a nightmare, unless it comes from the USA. That's why I wanted to buy something available in the US.

Also, it mentions 7" diameter...I thought the OEM Monster headlight was an odd size like 7" 1/4?

Have you thought about a SV650's headlight?

Seems like its just a regular 7" headlight with the same mounting points as the Monsters.

No, that is not an SV, but it is the SV headlight on a VX800

That's an option I had thought about, but I'm not sure on the exact size the Monster OEM headlight is. Can someone confirm it? I've searched and some places say it's 7 1/4".

I would measure mine, but it's pretty bent so the reading may not be accurate  Grin

Also, the SV bulb is H4? I bought a cheap Yammy YB125 headlight to test, but it uses a completely different bulb...so I am gonna try this weekend to see if I can fit the stock M620 bulb assembly into the reflector assembly of the YB125.

I'm not good at all with electrics, so I don't wanna be splicing and dicing wires  Smiley

The ebay light looks like the DesmoWorld clear lens light.

http://www.desmoworld.com/shop/de/scheinwerfer-klarglas-monster.html

They know how to ship internationally and will deduct the German VAT (- 19% off the posted price), but shipping might not be super cheap. Email them at info@desmoworld.de

Anyway - this light is ~10mm smaller than stock. The 'ear' brackets will bend in without issue or DesmoWorld will provide spacers. The light out of this is much better than stock, a much clearer/sharper focus.

We actually have the bucket and lights in stock. We are waiting for the lower bracket to come back from anodize.
Contact nick@motowheels.com if you are interested.

Martin

Ed told me next week for the brackets and the kits are ready to ship. I love how their kit gets rid of the U-Bracket. Just be aware its 1/2" smaller than stock.

Check BMW OEM parts, I think there are a few models that use the same headlight.

Same reflector, lens and ring.  Different bucket.  I'm sure it would work with a little ingenuity though.

If you just need a replacement lens and your bucket is fine, there are a number of 7.5" universal applications available. Ebay is obviously one source, however there are more quality manufacturers out there if you do some further research.

Got my headlight from motowheels! SO nice...it'll be a few weeks before the bike goes through its reassembly. I'll post pivs on my build thread.

Howdy guys.. Was browsing some older threads and spotted this one as the lighting on my monster is a sore point for me, I ride a lot either side of dusk/dawn..

I came across this fitting by JW Speaker and i'll be buying either this model or the 8800 if I can get it: http://www.oviedosafetylights.com/JW-Speaker--HID-&-LED-Lights/JW_Speaker_Model_8700_Par_56_LED_High_and_Low_Beam_LED_Headlamp_for_Motorcycle_and_Trucks

Seems to be a winner!
