I am sure this topic has been beaten to death over the years, but I will ask anyway as I couldn't find the answer after searching? Do 2003 m1000 headers fit a 99 m900? As far as I know the m1000 was based on the m900 so the head height should be the same. Can anyone confirm? Thanks in advance.

FWIW - the Sil Moto headers have different parts numbers for these two bikes.

DS1k heads are different from 900 heads, among other things the exhaust ports, so pipes are different.

One unrelated question for you, maybe you know. What type of paint did ducati use on the monster engines pre 2000? I have a little rust starting at the top of one of the heads which will need to be addressed asap. Thanks in advance!

laughingdp That is good to know for future reference. I was looking at a complete TI exhaust from a different manufacturer.

No idea what the paint is, but it's a lot better than the recent stuff.  Tongue
