It's not available yet. Maybe later this year.... as of right now it's for racing customers only, then they will offer the custom-fit version ($5k) and sometime later (hopefully) a $4k version in off-the-rack sizes.

I think if someone is willing to spend 4k on a suit, might as well go all the way and get the custom 5k suit.

Yeah, I'm also not really seeing the market for a $4000 off-the-rack suit when for another grand you can get one that fits perfectly.

Maybe the $4K suit is for the person of exactly average dimensions.

Fine, as long as you are young and not likely to "expand" anytime soon!  [roll]

5K these days though?!

The biggest problem is that custom suits take upwards of 90 days to make (if you're lucky) so if you're able to save a grand and get the suit that day..... I see the point to that.

It's a great motivation to keep working out and maintain size.  :-)

Ideally $1k price would have been ok.  ( I say that pretending that I can afford it)

After breaking a wrist and shattering a collarbone, I'm ALL for something that will greatly reduce major thoracic injury, especially to the neck/shoulders/clavicle/chest. My ambulance ride + 10hrs stay in the ER (just x-rays, drugs (morphine), and some doc consultation) cost big money (twice the cost of a $5k suit).

Anyways, from the horse's mouth: Dainese USA doesn't have a set date from Dainese Italy about when the D-Air will be available. Sometime summer, maybe. So... whatever that's worth.

Definitely no comparison to hospital cost.
I wear as much extra gear as I can but this d-air would be the greatest.  I need to find a sugar mama to get it for me . :-)

I've got a zip-together jacket/pants combo that I wear a lot of the time. I've also had a ride in the $500 taxi, and surgery to follow it up.

Coulda bought a (economy) car for what surgery cost...

That said, while I could almost swing a $1000 set of leathers, I sure as shit can't do a $5000 set of leathers right now.
