video games huh? what about the 80's? defender! that was a video game waytogo

Whups, I thought for sure I put 'in the old days'.  Should probably read 'in the 90s and earlier' heh.

I'm more of a Robotron fan than Defender.  Could never quite manage the Defender/Stargate controls.

Galaga's great, but I'd rather play Galaga '88 ('90 in the West).  Tho when it comes right down to it, there's only one vertical shooter for me: Raiden/2/DX.  Makes Galaga look like an old man's game.

Oh, wait...

Howdy

Stefan here.

I have owned my Senna coloured S4 since new in 2002.  I have ridden very little in the last 2 years due to various commitments and budget constraints (not a new story, I dare say).

My interest has been recently re-ignited by a couple of friends who after literally years of pestering have decided to come back to riding, so I have some pals to mess around with now!

I also own a Vespa GTS250 which I ride almost every day, rain or shine or wind as a commuter.

I live in the SE 'burbs of Melbourne with wife, kids, dog, mortgage, the S4, the Vespa and an old RZ500 which last saw the light of day on 1996/7 as a club racer at Mallala.

Riding wise, I like Sunday morning blatts through the usual locations (Marysville, Halesville, a bit of Powelltown/Nojee area).  My returning mates are keen on track days, so I see a few of those coming up.

Earlier this year I did a 2k trip through Alps & Snowys and are mad keen to repeat the exoerience in early 2010 - it was a blast!

Brad has the S4 booked in for belts, shims etc etc later this month, so I'll be safe and mobile again very soon.

Welcome Stefan.

Heather will be happy to finally have another Victorian join the crew (the way conversations have gone recently, may not be so happy about the wife & kids though).

Welcome Stefan,

Glad you kept that S4 and have kept up riding.
Just out of interest how did you hear about DMF, did you get carded by chance or did Brad put you onto OZ Monsters.

Betty, don't you think I'm busy enough with all my other interests ?  Roll Eyes
And well yes the current recruitment drive was getting just a little too skewed towards NSW lately.

Yay a Vic-bloody-torian AT LAST.....
waytogo  laughingdp It that what's expected ?? ??  Grin

It might just stir the melbourians into a breakfast or meet up or ride one of these days.

Welcome Stefan
Instead of doing the high country in early 2010 why don't you join Turismo in Tassie in Feb. A few of us are planning on going. Failing that high country sure has got many good points. Oh what the hell - do both.  cheeky

I like riding in the mountains too.  I know the odd road or two up there.  Wanna do the Gt Apline road again.

Hi all
Thanks for the welcome posts!

Yes, I am interested in catching up for the occasional Sunday ride and/or coffee.

And for those on this side of town, I live in Hughesdale... where are you?

I am a pretty good 'net surfer and as I have been looking for a few things with my nth return to motorcycling, I came across this forum.  The fact there is a strong oz contingent spurred me to register, rather than lurk.

OT, what is the general Monster's owners' opinion of the Streetfighter?  I didn't find it a attractive in the flesh as I thought it looked in the pics....

Tassie turismo, how many days does that go for?  I have always been curious about it, but a little uncertain of doing Duc exculsive events and such large events aare good in one way, but maybe take away some of the magic of riding with smaller, closer friends groups... just a thought.

OT again, who's going to MotoGP next week to admire Casey, JLo and Vale doing their stuff?  And the oz support races are something special too, those post classic type guys don't give an nch on the track...
