Hey guys, got a mysterious message left on my monster telling me about this site by MonsterMick
Name: Vincent
Ride: 98 600 Monster Dark. Very charming acid burn down the side of the engine.. Hopefully some VHT paint can patch it up
Do: Sell phones during the day, normally spend the nights fixing the bike
This forum will hopefully make that a lot easier!

G'Day Vinn,
I take it that you own the 1998 Dark that I saw parked at Mac Square, didnt have any cards with me at the time so I just wrote on a piece of paper and hoped that you would see it.
Anyway welcome to the forum, have a look around ask questions and enjoy.

Welcome along Vinnnn,
I'm sure you will find lots of useful info here and maybe some useless info too, that is usually the stuff that gets you into trouble.

Thankyou Goldfish and Matty, in the months I've been looking at this forum reading the various posts (especially Oz Monsters) I have noticed a real sense of community and looks like a lot of friends have been made around Australia and the world.
For me initially all I wanted to do is become a better rider, a project which I'm still working on
.
I got to say I picked up a lot of relevant info regarding the Italian marque and particularly Monsters of course.
A recent example is using a recommended service tech ( Mike at Desmo Clinic). Great guy, good service and reasonable cost.
Anyway, hope to meet some of you eventually and put faces to the names.
Cheers
Greg

GDay Mmick
Thanks for the welcome, I think I should (fit in) just a mild tap and some WD40 should do it
Regards the handle PinsNneedles, I had that newbie disease of holding onto the bars with deathgrip gave me tingles up the right wrist.
Now I am totally relaxed and dont hang on to the bars at all.

Hey Greg,
You have found the best place then, as I said we are a pretty good bunch and very friendly.
Regarding becoming a better rider, I think it is something we all work on everytime we're out.
There are a bunch of us who do track work and there are a few people going to do CSS training soon.
cheers
Matty...

Hey Greg,
We ride all over Sydney in our group rides, keep you eye out for the 2010 regular-ish ride thread.
Do come and ride with us even if we don't go up your neck of the woods, Jukie & Betty will accompany you.
