Just got a pair of the dual-density 724's based on the DMF rave reviews.  These are replacing my stock grips. When I removed the stock throttle grip, I noticed it had a groove at each end to slip over the plastic ridges at each end of  throttle tube. I was a little bummed to find the ProGrips didn't have this -seems like a good feature to avoid any possible slippage.

Anyway, because there's no groove at the grip end, the plastic ridge of the throttle tube makes a big bump at the end of the grip.  If I slide the grip over this it will leave the plastic ridge exposed which I don't think is the greatest, either.

Any advice on correct installation for these?  My bike is an '07 M695.

Sand that ridge part down so it won't make the bump.
