 Hi guys and ladies,

this is my first post (wasn't that a movie?)
Crashed my little duckie last Sunday and snapped off the LH side mirror.
So, now I have an opportunity to get NEW and better mirrors!
I find with the stock mirrors I can see what's coming up in the next lane, but not what's behind my back.....

Saw a set of VIPER mirrors in the Ducati parts catalog.
Does anyone have any experience with these?  Recommended? Better than CRG bar end mirrors?

Welcome all advice, with prejudice to none,
LDM

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Impressive!
Looks like they are larger than the stock.
Is the surface flat or convex? Are the mirrors adjustable within the frame?

"Not approved for road circulation" usually means flat (not convex) and/or too small.
They might work anyway, but with a more narrow view.

Seeing behind you AND to your sides isn't possible - you have to choose.
(I choose behind and then do the head check to my sides)

I do get both views of side and back with my bar-end mirrors.  I got cheap one from China on ebay.  But depends on my lane position, I do see what behind me and to the side.  However, I like moving my head and check to the side as I'm switching lanes though.

**did not mean to thread-jack OP** just my $0.02

Thanks, seamster - best answer so far ...
So now we have - Vipers 0, bar-end mirrors 1.
I think I'll go with the bar-ends.

Just for good habit, use your bar-end mirror AND do a head check to your side regardless.
