First of all flame suit is on, but I have a 01 900sie with Lucas solo rear sets. I love the rear sets and intend on keeping them, but the girlfriend wants to ride on the bike damn near more than I do. Has anyone ever used a clip on type passenger peg, basically something that clips onto the frame for the passenger, basically allow me to take em on and off? Any input would be greatly appreciated and any other ideas will be taken into consideration thanks guys!

I just don't see how or where you'de accomplish this unless your GF is a midget and has like 20 inch or shorter legs....that is why the rear sets are made the way they are for to be extended from the control pegs...because there just isn't any other place to put them...

If it's worth the trouble (is it?) maybe you can weld the same brackets as the S*R and bolt on/off those passenger sets....

the rizoma rear sets have a removable passanger peg setup. not exactly a clip on/off setup, but its no more than 5 mins. thats what i brought them for, but i didnt take into account my modified high mount exhaust. now i need to make another exhaust to allow passangers again.... maybe.... not till another girlfriend.... and she better be good....

What!!?.....H_LL no.   bang head

For me, my Monster is my best dating tool.
Here on Oahu with the warm 80* weather most of my females ride in shorts & I PERSONALLY love having those long , tan  & bare legs to rub at stoplights!!  chug
But, back on topic...If there is a way to accomplish removable passenger pegs, I would be in.

Same problem with the high-mount pipes here. Getting some spacers and longer bolts to fix it.

I've seen what your talking about on Ducati Island at Laguna Seca during Moto GP. It clipped onto the frame grab handles under the back seat and looked like skinny rod (1/2 inch) going down to a peg at a forward and outward angle. looked very simple, I doubted it worked.

Well whenever my taxes get done, I'll be taking the bike to nick to see if he can fab something up.

with the high mount spacers already on mine, i couldn't handle moving the controls even further out! i feel like I'm on a drag bike as it is, i kinda hate it... and it looks worse than it feels

im looking into further exhaust mods to allow me to remove the high mount spacers
