I dont have my tube anymore, but does anyone know the size of tube i could use to replace it? I need to extend my tube because ive been getting A LOT of oil spitting out of my crankcase breather filter. I am also thinking about going back to stock as well. I have too much oil coming out of there. perhaps the reed needs to be replaced?

#1
the rubber tube tpo sent with the filter has a 1 inch outer and 3/4 inch inner diameter.

do you pull wheelies? is the oil overfilled?

i made the elimination of the box last year, no oil came out yet. i think some people had problems with that reed valve leaking. there are some pretty nifty aftermarket breathers around.

He Man

I do wheelies time to time, but that isnt the cause since its so rare.

The filter itself isnt soaked with oil. the base of it is, but i dont know why the reed would break, unless having the filter can cause it to break.  Its also not overfilled. I cant run the original breather tube because im using a 999 shock with a piggyback reservoir.

how sure are you of those dimensions? i'm just going to make an order for a tube and re route it straight to the airbox with a nipple to create some pressure.

Looking through McMaster stock...

Neoprene
Santoprene
Nitrile

Not sure which is best. Nitrile seems to fit the usage from specs. but i also need to think about shaping the tube to get it to run correctly, im not sure which will be best at forming.

I'll check my parts box. If I still have mine, your more than welcome to it.

i measured the dimensions, so very sure.

i think if the oil is at the base, you should get a new breather.

the type of the hose is "buna-n" (whatever that is) according to the tpo site.

He Man

awesome dude. buna-n is nitrile.

scduc, i cant use the stock box, so dont bother. i have a 999 shock and the reservoir is in the way.
