It may have come across like that, but it was a serious answer, truly.
I guess I could have just typed "so wide-reared passengers can ride"...

actually....I was the one that asked...

for something that maybe you are going to go and do BUB or something, I agree...but I don't understand the passenger seat pad...
Quote from: Sad Panda on February 27, 2012, 06:56:32 AM
.......Though yeah, the passenger seat doesn't make much sense.
and it wasn't meant in terms of width, but moreso in terms of why it is even there when you don't carry a passenger on a BUB machine....streamlining for speed means eliminating the unnecessary as much as possible....hence my moreso rhetorical question...

Didn't you get booted from that forum for giving them a retrospective of The Misadventures of Toasty?

Anyway, back to the point of this thread, which is to document the senseless abuse that Hayabusas have suffered.
While I was looking at some of the ones in the first pages, I wondered if someone would have put a couple of 22" side by side and have a seat in between. This guy got pretty close..
It does have a 1.3L engine, it could actually pull one of those smarts on the back!! Just saying..

The second one actually began life as a GSXR1000 (apparently), but I think it fits the theme.

Because its over the top custom, or you can't make fun of it because you own a 999?
Oh, I'll make fun of the douche-nugget who did that to a once beautiful machine such as a 9*6, 998, or a 999...
It just makes me sad because someone took a pretty machine and turned it into a turd...
The 'busa was never a beauty queen, although for high speed touring/drag racing/land speed records, etc... it's excellent, from what I've heard. (IMHO)
What I meant earlier, was that the Hayabusa seems to be the platform of choice (mostly) for ridiculous over-the-top custom jobbies...

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it
