Arai XD-3 Helmet Review at RevZilla.com (New 2011 Review!)

Probably not many people sporting DS helmets on the Monster. They are more suited to upright riding positions - you *may* have some vision issues in a more sporting crouch to to the visor. Though the visor can be removed. According to the Revzilla film it's remarkably stable at highway speeds even with the visor

And the XD3 is on the way out, XD4 is the current model. Plenty of folks still selling the XD3, though you might have to hunt around for popular sizes and colors

been using an XD3 for several months now... at any legal speed, the peak is a total non-issue.  I've *cough*heard*cough* that in the seventies it creates more of an effort to look around as it catches the wind blast, but it's not horrible.

the peak is great for low-angle sun, and (and this is my favorite 'new' thing) the visor finally doesn't distort polarized glasses. I no longer need to swap clear/tint, I can just wear my shades in the afternoon

right on guys, i appreciate the input. might have to cop one.

it's actually a very nice lid. have you worn arai in the past? this one fits like the RX7 corsair, which was why I bought it. intermediate oval, iirc.

funny, though, that the new corsair doesn't fit the same as the old one...

jabuan

i currently wear a corsair v. it's the best fitting of the arais i'e owned. i had a signet, quantum ii and an rx7.

yea i noticed that the current corsair doesn't fit the same. it actually fits better on me.
