Random email attachment and use of the image as an avatar isn't a problem Undecided, but we've caught people making patches and other unauthorized uses. Angry It clears up quick when they get that registered letter from Lisa's step father. He's a lawyer. Evil

Dang... Victoria, BC was friggin gorgeous this weekend.  Mid-70's and sunny.  A bunch of the wife's family were up there so we joined 'em.  We drove her little roadster.  That was cool... first time we've taken the Saturn Sky out for a real road trip.  I got to drive it a bit on 101 on the Olympic Peninsula.  That is one nicely poised car.  Feels like you're carving the asphalt with a very sharp knife.

Rented a scooter for an hour and putzed around on the scenic beach road.  A Burgman 650 (none of those 49cc wheezers for me!).  Holy crap, that thing was 200 lbs heavier than my SS!  Nice seats, though, and it hauled the two of us around quite easily.  I'd have preferred a "real" motorcycle, but this was a fun ride on the cheap.  Something like $26-and-change for one hour.  And being a 650, it did require a real motorcycle endorsement to rent it, unlike all the non-moto tourists who rent the 49cc buggers and proceed to endanger themselves.  The rental agency guy was relieved to get someone who had some clue how to ride a moto... I watched in pity as he tried to train this whole gaggle of tourists how to ride.  All he had to do was show me the unique controls on the Burgman that differed from other motorcycles (things like the electrically adjustable windscreen).

You know, after driving the Saturn Sky up there, and then running around on the scooter, I'd definitely prefer to have a scoot or small moto for getting around Victoria.  Leave the cage at home, because it's just too much of a hassle.

Speaking of bikes in Victoria... there were a crapload of Harleys running around.

Erica wants to go back up there now on the Duc, or whatever adventure-tourer we end up with.  Smiley  She's definitely getting hooked on this 2-wheel experience!  She also realised that if we can pack for a couple nights and fit that in the tiny "luggage" space in the Sky (the little area in the back where the top folds down), we could live out of a couple side cases pretty easily.

So anyway... fun weekend.  waytogo

The BMWs are kinds big but are great sport touring bikes two up and they have the adventure tour niche covered too.  Lot o' money but they do what they do very well.

Gold filling popped out while eating cheetohs .... I wonder if I can sell to them gold into cash people... I hate the dentist.

Update: I went to the dentist... and he said it was a "gold overlay" and not a filling... that it was in mint condition.. he cleaned it... put cement on it... and popped it right back into place... easy cheesey... in and out in 5 minutes...

I would like my dentist better if his name wasn't Dr. Handdick.

Is there an awkward (but hilarious) pause in the middle of his name, or is one of the D's useless?

Most insurance companies don't cover damage to a vehicle resulting from "rioting" or "civil unrest" (Or "revolution", Acts of God, or "detonation of a nuclear device [accidental or otherwise]", among other funny things.)

So, like, enough of us beating up on a Kia Sportage could really screw up a guy's day. Evil

Sounds great but I don't have any inf. other than the color, make, model.

Short version:

Assmake the beast with two backs Fuctard pulls out onto 99W from a side street with no slowing down, no stopping, from a semi blind location right in front of me.

Not enough time to stop, no room to left or right to escape.

Slipped between said make the beast with two backsing oblivious driver and the car next to me and scraped my bar end cap a bit on his Kia.

I have surgery scheduled later today to remove my underwear from my throat - it was THAT kind of pucker moment!  Shocked

I basically slipped between them through the intersection and was so infuriated that I just turned off and went home.  I was afraid of what I would do if I stopped and interacted in any way with ass munch.

Glad that it's only a minor surgery then. Let me know if you still want a posse.

That... would have been worthy of a door-kick-in.

Farking obliviots!  Angry

So, did your bar-end leave a significant mark on the Kia POS?  I hope so!
