Ouch, I feel your pain, Ryan.

Sometimes, unemployment is a good thing.  waytogo

Oh hey, got the clutch slave swapped out this weekend.  I have a nice shiny new Oberon black-anodized clutch slave cylinder installed on the SS now.  The change in leverage definitely makes starting out smoother, though I think it may need bled again... had a little trouble finding neutral.  This cylinder (with a 29mm bore) shouldn't have a problem with getting the clutch all the way disengaged.  The larger bore units start to cause problems with disengagement and finding neutral because as the slave cylinder piston diameter increases, lever effort goes down, but so does the distance the piston moves.  Messing with hydraulic ratios is an exercise in compromise.

Anyway, methinks I'm gonna go re-bleed that clutch line now... then see where the test ride takes me.  [moto]

Everyone should vote "down" on the 2nd definition.

Lol... I actually did just that last night, and "thumb-upped" the original Morilla definition again.

Here's to the one and only Mo-rilla!  chug

This is an experiment with the language filter:

derby

Huh.  I take it derby is fond of re-posting?  That first one was "r e p o s t" without the spaces, and it automagically changed to "derby."  Go figure.

Okay, while I'm inanely rambling... this is friggin cool!

Timing belt replacement & tensioning:
Ducatitech.com "HowTo" Ducati Timing Belt Change

2V valve check:
Ducatitech.com "HowTo" Adjust your Valves (Part 1)

Ducatitech.com "HowTo" Adjust your Valves (Part 2)

Just found those videos today.  I have the ProItalia VHS for the 2V timing belt and valve service, but stumbled on these videos by ca-cycleworks when I did a search on Ducati timing belts.  Unfortunately, California Cycleworks is out of the OEM belts, so I'm trying to find them elsewhere.  It's been 2 or 3 weeks since I ordered and they still don't know when they'll get more.  Undecided  They seem like really nice people and I'd like to wait for them, but the SS has 12,500+ miles and 8 years on the original timing belts.  They NEED changed.

derby used to chime in all the time with "derby" when something was derbyed so people started saying 'derby' instead when it happened. The admins put it in the language filter kinda like an easter egg, like how your post count shows "leet" when you reach 1337 posts.
