The point is easy accessability if you lose your main key while in East Butt Scratch. Thanks for the ideas guys. I still don't like the concept of having one on the bike somewhere that someone might find and ride away. Don't know if I'd rather lose a key and be potentially stranded either. Decisions . . . decisions . . .
On a completely different note:
I called a guy in today for attempted murder. Green Explorer first 3 letters of plate 634. Beaverton/Hillsboro area.
Short version is I was rolling along in the right lane coming up on an off ramp (mine was next) when this Explorer comes barreling over and forces me off as he exits. Scares the crap out of me! But I think it's an honest mistake and make room, calm down, etc. but now I'm on a road I don't want to be on. So we come up on a light and I get in the lane I want and he's a car or 2 ahead of me.
As we go my lane is going faster than his so I am pulling up along side him when he lunges at me again. Full on intentional swerve. I brake and he misses and he barely misses the curb he swung over so hard to get me.
He kept rolling a bit more as he was trying to brake. There was a parking lot entrance between us. Just as I was gunning it to get in he put it in reverse.
I got in a very public place in the parking lot and called it into the police.
It was loud and I was pretty wired so I don't think I caught it all or remember it all but they didn't agree with my assessment of attempted murder - think she said vehicular assault.
They didn't think they'd have much luck finding him but I did start hearing sirens before I even got off the phone.
Guess I should check the local news sites.
Hope the Karma cops get 'em!
